I believe the show helps me make better clothing decisions (though everyone I know can feel free to argue me on that point ). All I know is, I have STOPPED buying baggy clothes. That's pretty amazing for me.
I'm in the same boat -- love the show -- love the outcomes -- and have learned to stop buying baggy. I've gotten many compliments since I've taken their advice (via the TV, I've not been on the show) to heart, yet I don't feel at all like I'm not dressing as me -- to the contrary -- I feel that they've given me options I'd have not considered before. I didn't realize I'd gotten close-minded about clothing until I started watching WNTW. And I love Stacy. LOVE her.

Which is why the show appeals to me. They (generally) to a good job of focusing on identifying basic elements of shape that work for individual body types, rather than what's "in style". If you know what works on your body, you can work within that to acheive any "style" you want (whether it's a current trend, a classic look, or something all your own). Nobody looks their best in clothes that don't fit right.

It was a revelation to me the first time I tried on a tapered dress shirt. I had absolutely hated the way I looked in a standard button up dress shirt until that point as any shirt with a big enough neck looked like a dress on the rest of my body. Now that I've learned what the right cut for me is, I have to restrain myself from buying a whole closet's worth at a time.

Oh, they would have a hayday with me on that show. In fact, they'd save my episode for "sweeps week", especially with my baggy capris, Crocs, and t-shirts.

But, I'd keep the tags on everything they'd give me so I can return it all after the show, and get more Crocs, capris, and t-shirts.

I think knowing the clothing shapes that best compliment your body type is THE mist important bit of information someone can know about them selves. WNTW has done a good job of educating their viewers on those principals. Although, I much prefer Trinny and Susannah more direct approach - and I think they give more useful information. I also like that both of them have their own fashion challenges to get over and they both had to deal with pregnancy and fashion. (I like to see Heidi Klum's pregnancy outfits as well).

If only I could remember when the show ws on, I'd actually watch it more.

Crocs are out of fashion? Why are they everywhere now? I totally thought they were the new thing.

I was thinking of getting some. Will I look like an idiot? I kindof like the idea of shoes I can rinse off with a hose.

I was going to get some in black. Do socks look stupid with them, or are they really a barefoot kinda shoe?

They ARE comfortable, right? Cause if not, I don't care anymore.

I also need some black oxfords, but we'll save that for another thread, another day...

I'm in the love it boat. These people look so beyond horrible before hand! Not just average dressers. Really really horrible dressers. And they aren't totally brutal to everyone. Just the people that resist them.

And, I may get mauled for saying this, but Crocs are the ugliest shoe on the planet. No amount of comfort could make up for that amount of ugly. The shoe gods gave us Crocs just so they could laugh at us wearing them. (Runs and hides!)
