OMG, so over a bunch of bees they totally torched the swing seat. Nice.

Actually, the flames were pretty sweet, but holy hell, never underestimate the stupidity of two young men with a firepit and a swarm of bees!

When GD told me about this I kinda felt bad for the bees...but then I saw it myself and the awesomeness overwhelmed me. Great pics of flammable materials being thrown at the fire. Woooo!

When I was younger (and less carefull) a freind and I played a trick on a rancher that use to run us off his land. So we took about 6 of his beehives and hid them in a raveen under a tree about 50 feet away. The last one swarmed us. I got stung about 6 times. It hurt a little for the rest of the day, but it was no big deal. Jumping through the rusty barbed wire and cutting my back was worse.

Bees are usually passive, and I work around them outside and have never been stung since. As long as you don't piss them off, or move their home, the'll usually leave you alone.

And I love honey. I sqirt that little Hunny Bear into my tea every night.

I've been stung twice and it was less annoying that a mosquito bite. In 20 minutes there was no evidence I'd been stung. I don't get the bee paranoia.

It's like any phobia - just a natural (unnatural) fear of what might be. Also, many people are highly allergic to bees.

Also, in case anybody was curious (okay, probably only me), the fear of bees is known as Apiphobia.

Once while playing baseball in the park with my dad and two of my brothers, I hit a long foul ball into a group of trees. My brother, Paul, had sprinted over to the trees in an attempt to catch the ball. The next thing we know, Paul is hauling ass away from the trees and running towards us. Then we see it....the biggest, angriest swarm of bees you could imagine.

(That fly ball, it was a one in a million shot, Doc!)

Then my dad, always thinking one step ahead, yells, "Don't run towards us, dumbass!"
