Yipes!

Though, to be fair, I've had that happen with pants from Gap and Levi's as well. I used to put my hands in my back pocket and tilt them out (without really realizing it) putting a strain on the stitching. What would happen, more often than not, was that the denim itself would rip. I also have a tendency to tug at the belt loops, creating holes there, once its been one tug too many.

One of these days I will be able to afford nicer jeans. In the meanwhile, I just keep buying Gap.

I've been able to find nicer jeans for the same price as the Gap (full price) at Nordstrom's. Calison "Lola's Jeans" fit like Gap boot cut jeans do. My only issue with them (and you won't have it) is they don't come in long so I can't wear them with boots.

I've found the perfect jeans at 'Nana.

Traci - sucky about your capri's. Too bad they didn't last a season

Completely disagree. There's a reason I dont wear them.
They get holes other places.

But at least there was something you did in those cases to contribute to the ripping. This wasn't a pocket rip. It was a good two inches away from the pocket. It was just a random ass rip that must have happened when I washed them. It was only their third wash. That is just so inexcusable. I really liked those pants too.

Take them back. I would.

I had the same thing happen with a pair of their jeans. Ripped in the back but not on a seam.
