He must be pretty dizzy by now then, because they've been serving it in Epcot for years. And also right across the Esplanade.

If they made the parks adults only, the money raised from alcohol sales and the "Talk to a Naked Princess" booths would more than offset the lost children's ticket sales.

Harumph.
They're already on the slippery slope. They currently sell booze at Club 33 and they already provide or sell it at private parties and special events that occur outside of normal operating hours.

I personally have consumed alcohol served to me by Disney inside Club 33, Fantasyland Theater, Opera House, Plaza Inn, and Innoventions. The last being a martini served through a 20-foot-tall ice sculpture.

Personally, even if it is a slippery slope to beer carts on Main Street, I don't really care. Yes, it will upset the "what about Walt" crowd, but in my experience the availability of alcohol hasn't ruined any other Disney park so I don't think it would ruin Disneyland either.

The problem with selling alcohol in the parks is/would be the increase in Code V's. Imagine somebody hurling at the top of Space and the lower trains getting a nice shower.

Or don't imagine it ...

I have mixed feelings about serving alcohol inside DL proper aside from C33 and special events. Times change, but alcohol is already served in DCA and DTD, does it really need to be served inside DL proper as well? Then again alcohol is already served in DCA and DTD. You don't see [many] hurling/sloppy drunks inside the park(s) as it is.

Regardless, what they are stating they want the license for makes sense. If they are getting one time usage licenses on a regular basis, why not go for the license. Does anyone know if the liquor license will state that alcohol can only be served during specific events or times?

I prognosticate that you will not be seeing alcohol being served in Disneyland (outside of C33 and special events) any time soon.

No specific rationale for this; just my gut feeling.

I'm guessing it won't happen. If they did it, they'd want to advertise it, and if they advertised it, enough number of people who go places just to get drunk and misbehave would show up, and it would lead to bad publicity.

I think only time will tell Kevy. When they opened DCA with alcohol, many of us objected then, saying it was a slippery slope to wanting to sell it in DL. I see this as another step in that direction. Not right away, of course, as the public will have to have time to "get used to the idea". I don't even accuse them of necessarily planning to do it now. Maybe they genuinely think they're only doing this to make serving alcohol at private parties easier. But who's to say that management 10 years from now won't wonder why they aren't just selling it during the day?

Why is it bad to sell alcohol inside DL? Feh... shall I name names?
