I also fry my egg when I made a breakfast sandwich. Though I probably cook my eggs more than anyone here (runny eggs are nasty and unsuitable for eating), and I don't put butter on the bread I used. I always use a slice of cheese.

No microwave necessary (which is good, since I don't own one).

It's important to clean the pan ASAP, otherwise the "I cooked an egg for breakfast" smell takes over the house.

I love egg whites. Though.. I do love me some soft scrambled eggs. I'm a plain girl. Seasoning only with a little salt and pepper.

Does anyone add eggs to food that doesn't normally take eggs?

ie: I like to crack an egg into my ramen while I'm cooking it. I put the seasoning in, crack an egg, mix it all together on medium heat and when it looks all cooked up... I eat my masterpiece.

amd now, because it's 3:38am, and I'm having a hypo-glycemic episode and sitting here waiting for my peanut-butter & honey sandwich to kick in, here is the recipe for Lashbears Infallible Scramble.

take a Pyrex measuring jug of 2 cup size.
Crack 2 eggs in
add a little salt and pepper
whisk lightly with a fork.
Take one of the eggshell halves
fill it with half and half or cream, pour into the jug. Repeat (the rule here is one half eggshell full of cream/half and half per egg)
Beat mixture with fork until all incorporated.
Now, to cook (Alex knows this part well)
Put in Microwave for 30 sec.
Stir well.
Put in for another 15 sec
Stir well.
Put in for another 10 sec
Stir well.
The eggs should be at a lovely creamy cooked scramble stage by now. Yummy.

Do not attempt to cook the eggs all the way through as the last part will cook while you are stirring them. I promise. PLEASE Do not overcook or the eggs will go dry and the liquid will separate out from them. If you cook dry eggs, then the angels will weep for you.

I have racked my way through my Japanese food forum, looking for this, but I cant find it. I know it's a popular dish, but I can't remember what it's called.

You take a piping hot bowl of Udon, and pour a beaten egg into it, and stir, letting the heat of the noodles cook the egg.

Yummo !!! See, Ramen was meant to take eggs.

I saw a great concert last night, Doobie Brothers and Chicago, with possibly the worst opening act I've EVER had to endure- I think it might have done permanent damage to my spleen or something.

Anyway, Doobie Brothers were amazing, really freakin' tight vocals- just incredibly impressive to have a band with 3 guitarists, 2 drummers and keyboards so well meshed together.

Chicago was good- with the exception of one singer who sounded like a bad Vegas lounge act. Their bassist did a better job with the Peter Cetera songs than Peter did, though. With all the energy and rockin' that preceded them, though, Chicago was a bit of a downer.

The best part of the whole evening though, was after Chicago's set, the two bands came back onstage and jammed together- It was an amazing wall of sound and energy that had the entire venue on it's feet.

I've seen them live before and totally agree, they are amazing. My friend Gloria was supposed to go last night too. I'm glad it was a good show, minus the sucky opening band. Sorry about that.

My eggs are put in the preheated pan, have their yolks broken, and sit there for a long, long time. Then I flip them, and let them sit there for a long, long time. Eggs should not be moist. Wiggly eggs are evil things.

This is why I cook my OWN eggs. When I cook them. I crave eggs maybe once a year.

Oh, good Lord.

Fry two strips of bacon. Remove bacon from skillet. Crack two eggs into skillet. Fry eggs in bacon grease. Eat.

While frying bacon, you can, of course, make coffee. Or, squeeze an orange. Or, wash your roommate's dishes. Or, pray for people who want to save four minutes by microwaving an egg into blandness.

This is your time, use it as you wish.
