I should check the local Japanese store to see if they are as well.
They used to have the yellow-cap kosher for passover Coke when I was a teen (at least that's when I was aware of it) and I know that in certain years they didn't bother having it (though I wouldn't know if that was just our area or not). I haven't looked for that in years. I think it was just Coke, not Pepsi that did that. Not sure.

It was kosher because it did not have corn syrup in it, only sugar cane. Corn isn't kosher for passover according to the strictest rabbis. Tasted the same to me.

Mountain Dew Throwback makes me happy. HFCS is bad, bad stuff.

You can get Coca-Cola Hecho en Mexico (cane sugar) at Costco (or at least, the Costco in Mountain View).

This is a PDF of an excellent rundown of why that is simply not true. It's based on misinformation and misinterpreted science. The belief that HCFS messes with one's appetite is based on studies done with pure fructose, not HFCS (HFCS is only about 50% fructose) and in quantities well above normal consumption quantities.

Overeating any sweetner is bad for you, HFCS included. And for those that like the taste of the cane-sugar versions, awesome. But really, people the HCFS scare is based on little to nothing and is a major distraction from figuring out ways to actually address obesity issues.

You'll forgive me if I take propaganda from a site whose domain name is owned by the Corn Refiner's Association with a grain of, er, sugar.

I know my own metabolism, and I know the difference in how I feel after consuming something with HFCS vs. the same with some form of natural sugar. I'll restate my previous to make it subjective: For me, in my personal experience, HFCS is bad, bad stuff.

That's fine. I'm sorry I didn't take a close look at the link, it was just the first of many I could have linked to.

Your personal experience and how you feel is certainly something to go on. I just feel the need to caution people not to take at face value reports that a single ingredient is as evil as the current popular line on HFCS makes it out to be. That kind of, "We've found the cause for all of our food ills!" should be a red flag that something's not right.

ETA: Oh, here's another link, unconnected with any corn industry types: http://junkfoodscience.blogspot.com/...of-sweets.html

HFCS, cane sugar... Bah. They could sweeten my Dr Pepper with crack and it'd still be the sweet, sweet nectar of the Gods. Mmm....
