Disney to purchase Marvel - Page 4

I think if the DC/ Warner Bros. thing has worked for a few decades, I see no problem with Disney/ Marvel. I think the big issue is will Disney put it's people at Marvel or be like WB and be hands off...

I knew something like this should/ would happen. Although I thought it would've been Fox but I don't think Marvel could have sustained it's film/ publishing plans for much longer without something like this.

my first thoughs was for Universal's Islands Of Adventure Theme Park .

Then i'm still surprised that disney signed that deal with a Marvel Comics .

For the WDC this is a great idea as they won't have to fire Marvel Employees like they did for Pixar .

Also an idea came out from my mind that Disney also did that for their future projects . A Mavel Comics Theme Park created and all designed by WDI would be Awesome .

May be an idea for DLP's Third Park or WDW's 5th gate .

So, turns out that Disney President Bob Iger's late great-uncle (his grandfather's brother) was illustrator-cartoonist Jerry Iger, who partnered with illustrator-cartoonist Will Eisner back in the 30's to create ... wait for it ... the comic-book packager Eisner & Iger Studios. Their first hire was Jack Kirby, who - with Stan Lee - went on to co-create many of Marvel's best known characters.
