The girls in the row in front of us were like, What the Fvck is Tron?

I'm glad the movie is fondly remembered by those of a certain age. But the look that thrilled half the audience during the trailer was greeted with "meh" by the other (younger) half.

Still, Tron was a breakthrough film that - I have to say - wasn't very good as a movie. It deserves another shot - and I hope they succeed in the rather easy task of making a better film, and the rather daunting task of making the visual style that was revolutionary in the 80's look striking and rad in the much more sophisticated 10's.

Hell, I'd pay to go see the first Tron in a theater again, so, yeah, I'm there on opening day for this very slick looking sequel. Hope it's as cool as it looks.

I tried watching the original movie again the other day. I fell asleep. Boring....

But I have found that to be true with so many of the older films, I guess we are so use to the high action, over visualized, special effects driven adrinalin pumping rides that the old stuff has then same effect as a sleeping pill.

The main dissapointment I have about this film....

That I have to wait untill December to see it!

I have fond memories of the original Tron. Of course, until recently, I also remember thinking the "Saturday Night Fever" dance sequences were fast-paced.
