In this scathing dark comedy, incomparable writer/director Billy Wilder turns his gaze towards the world of the movie-making business. A fading silent film star hides an up-and-coming screenwriter on the run, slowly entrapping him in a deadly web. Gloria Swanson gives one of the greatest performances in history as the grandiose has-been teetering on the edge of sanity. What better place to watch the film than in the shadow of Paramount studios and alongside so many silent film stars who are now forgotten by the denizens of modern Hollywood? The film features Cemetery resident and legendary film-maker Cecil B. DeMille.
