Lingo: We were TOO good to be on the show!

Kinda mad and pleased at the same time:

A friend and I tried out for Lingo on GSN. It's a mastermind like game with 5 letter words.

A friend and I went to the try-out, where they had several mock games. We have the strategy of instead of trying to drop in words that fit mid-way, we drop in words that feature a buch of different letters (like Child, Toyed, Media, and others). This allowed us to get clues to letters we needed that wouldn't fit in. (For example there was a clue of J-V-S. Were thinking "WTF?!", so I said Credit). Then the C was right, but wrong place and the I was in the correct place, so we then did Jives, and that was it.

We beat several other teams that were there. However, the try-out people said that they haven't seen this strategy, and that it's not appropiate for the show.

Oh well. We're like the 'card counters' of Lingo.
