![]() Ok, really quick because I'm at work -
We had a city employee appreciation day including free food and games set up by each dept. One of the games was a Disneyland quiz! I was the only person who got every single question right. I won a Pirates of the Caribbean version of the game of Life! ![]() ![]() ![]() I can't pick up the game until Monday, but when I do, I'm going to get a copy of the questions and post it for all y'all to try...although I admit it was fairly easy for geeks of our caliber. ![]() I'm doing a happy geeky dance...

HI!
|
Chriss had an embarassing moment at work when his geekness was revealed. He can tell the story though.
I got the "look" from the clerk who was selling me sunglasses when I told her exactly where her new job location would be at DTD, what was on either side, and where to eat. I ended by saying "see you there!" |

Yay, another game to add to the tower-o'-games in the closet!
When I was at an Angels game in the company suite last week, we were talking about the history of the team and stadium with a colleague. I mentioned that Disney bought the team and renovated the stadium (which is something any long time OC resident can tell you, for crying out loud). My manager says, "Greg can tell you anything about Disney." Mind you, I've NEVER mentioned Disney to him. Of course, he found out from my other coworker who is an ex pin trader and a member of NFFC. I think he got suspicious when we both took July 18th off.

Congrats, CP! That's awesome!!
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I can't wait till you post a copy of the questions! Cool! I love being a Disney geek, however I never really realized the extent of it until one day I was out shopping with my brother Smee's girlfriend and she had heard about some exciting Disney event. Before telling me, she began the sentence with, "Oh! Your'e a big Disney dork, right? You'll love this!" Um, okay. ![]() I burst out laughing (I was so NOT hurt by it!) and she suddenly felt really embarrassed & bad. However, my brother always refers to me as "Disney dork" so she just assumed it was my common family nickname. Which, I'm sure, it is. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

My moment of Geekyness came in a meeting with my VP, who had read an article in the LA Times about the hobbled teacups. From that moment on, I was know as the "Master Spinner" to the execs in my organization.

You'll enjoy the board on the Pirate's Game of LIFE. It's loaded with little insider references on its map of the pirate world.
The game itself is fun to play as well, however I am really tired of the recent Hasbro (and they own ALL the major family game labels) trend of simply slapping a license on Monopoly, Clue or Life. I want to see brand new games based on things like Pirates or Mansion, for Pete's sake! OK, sore subject... |

My beef, is you don't buy a bride in the Pirate Game of Life - what's up with that?

Alrighty....
Got my prize, which we'll play later tonight. For now, here is the quiz I took. It's multiple choice, but since most of them are easy for this crowd, I'm putting the choices in spoiler tags. Although sometimes without the choices it's hard to know what the question is asking....anyway. Try to guess it without looking at the choices, and please put your answers in spoilers so others can play. On reading it now while typing it, I realize that this is a basic list of stuff that entry level geeks learn on beginning their journey through Disney history...you know, right after you're shown the hidden mickey in the HM ballroom... ![]() 1. <blank> is the "lost" land of Disneyland.
