Hyper Gym Workout Tunes
Anyone have suggestions for music I can download to my iPod while I workout?
I'm looking for fun energetic music. I need to add new stuff to the mix. My Gym Playlist is getting old. ![]() |

Just about anything off the Cherry Poppin' Daddies "Zoot Suit Riot" disk should do the trick. Always makes me go faster on the treadmill than I thought I could.

Ooh, Chemical Brothers! That stuff really gets me going. "Dig your own hole" and "Push the button" are both great albums. Way back when I used to work out to music I put on "Dig" all the time.

Oh huzzah for this thread. I need major musical motivation for my work out, which always tends to drop dead in its tracks between October and January. I need all the inspiration I can get during the treacherous holiday season of "oh, I'm too busy for that."

Thank you for the ideas so far.
I have 'Zoot Suit Riot' and the two CB songs CP mentioned and am adding them to the list. I'm looking into BTD'd list. Here's some of my list so far. Now, it's more about the pace of the song than the artist, content etc. Feel Good Inc. ~ Gorillaz Mon Truc En Plumes (Remix) ~ Zizi Jeanmaire Lose Control (Explicit Version) ~ Missy Elliott Pon De Replay ~ Rihanna Speed Racer (12" Version) ~ Alpha Hindi Sad Diamonds ~ Moulin Rouge Meet Me In The Red Room ~ Moulin Rouge All Nite (Don't Stop) ~ Janet Jackson Born Slippy (Nuxx) ~ Underworld <---- Someone in this song calls out the name 'InnerSpace Boy'... I think that's funny. ![]() Jaan Pehechaan Ho ~ Mohammed Rafi <----From "Ghost World'. ![]() Simple And Clean (Short Edit) ~ Utada Hikaru <--- From Kingdom Hearts. I'm a nerd. ![]() Don't Call Me Baby (Original Mix 7") ~ Madison Avenue House of Jupiter (Extended Vocal Mix) ~ Casey Stratton Cha Cha Heels (Rosabel Big Room Vox) ~ Rosabel & Jeanie Tracy Slow (Chemical Brothers Mix) ~ Kylie Minogue Sunchyme (Club 69 Tribal Chant Mix) ~ Dario G Milkshake (X-Press 2 Triple Thick Vocal Mix) ~ Kelis Brimful Of Asha ~ Fatboy Slim Music (Daft Punk Remix) ~ Madonna Hey Ladies (Remix) ~ The Beastie Boys Take Me Home ~ Sophie Ellis-Bextor Don't Tell Me (Timo Maas Mix) ~ Madonna Renegade Master ~ Fatboy Slim F**k the Pain Away ~ Peaches Boom Intro/Pass That Dutch ~ Missy Elliott Rock Your Body ~ Justin Timberlake feat. Pharrell Williams Shake Your Rump ~ The Beastie Boys I've Got a Life ~ Eurythmics The Other Side Of The Moon (Ursula 1000 Mix) ~ Don Tiki Gold Digger ~ Kanye West Feat. Jamie Foxx Rich Girl (Radio Edit) ~ Gwen Stefani & Eve Move Your Feet (Radio Edit) ~ Junior Senior Lose My Breath ~ Destiny's Child Hey Ya! ~ Outkast I Turn To You ~ Melanie C You Spin Me Round (Like a Record) 12" version ~ Dead or Alive Young Hearts Run Free ~ Kym Mazelle Everytime We Touch (Radio Mix) ~ Cascada |

For some reason these songs I find to be fun and always seem to energize me - they are all on my current work out CD (not in the Ipod age yet) which I haven't changed in a long time -
I like starting out with "where the streets have no name" (U2) to warm up - starts nice and slow, picks up nicely. Don't know if it's "fun", but it works for me. Not a hip-hop fan, per se, but I love "Hey Ya" by Outkast. "Roxanne" - Police "Drive" - Bobby McFerrin (live version from appearance on SNL) "Straight to my Heart" - Sting "Make me Smile" - Chicago "American Child" - Phil Vassar "Take me to your leader" - Newsboys "Frank" - The W's Gotta have fun tunes to work out to. |
