![]() Just helping Kevy Baby out a bit -
Here's a photo of their latest hatchlings, of which 6 need loving homes: I've got a 10-gallon set-up that a new owner is most welcome to for getting started. The 10-gallon will be large enough for 2 of them for about the first 3 months. ![]() So..... come on.... you know you want one, or two, or three...... be the swankiest person on the planet with beardies! ![]() Seriously - they make fantastic pets. ![]() |

Ours finally got moved into their new enclosure on Sunday. We bought it used on Craigslist for $80, and then added the lighting, "sandstone" flooring, and picturesque backdrop: I'm also making some custom climbing rocks for it that will blend more with the backdrop. ![]() Here's Norbert playing in the plant: |

Thanks DF. I should have done this myself.
But yes, we do have some hatchlings that should be available very soon (we need to keep an eye on them for another week or so). If anybody has a sharp eye, they will actually count seven little dragons in the photo: one is not available. He was born with a slight birth defect which gave him a slightly closed eye (we are not sure if it is functional) and a little bit of a hunched back. His name is Modo. He is the one at the bottom looking like he is glaring at the camera. We had another one that we adopted at the same time with the same affliction, but much worse. We named him Quasi. Unfortunately, Quasi didn't make it. Since we have six little dragons in with Modo, we have not named them. We just refer to them collectively as the Modettes. And to answer the question about spay and neutering: there is an excellent vet in Yorba Linda who is considered the best reptile vet on the West Coast (Dr. Greek). Susan checked with him once about spay/neutering. It costs $125 to do that to a Dragon.

I love the habitat DP! The background rocks!
And $125 isn't bad, cats and dogs are about that (though you can probably find low cost for cats easier than you'll find it for dragons. I also suspect the dragon population is less then the cat population. Dragons make nice KITTY TOYS! ![]() Just assuring that Kevin never tries to get me to adopt a dragon |
