The Nightmare Before Christmas at El Capitan - 10/19 - 10/31

The El Capitan will be screening "The Nightmare Before Christmas" for the first time in Disney Digital 3D from October 19 through October 31. They will have souvenir collectible 3D glasses that you can keep.

The El Capitan website doesn't mention it (and why doesn't it?), but at the El Capitan box office and in flyers, it mentions that there will be a filmmaker panel discussion on the first night, October 19, at both screenings (7pm and 9:45pm).

We already have our tickets for the 7pm show. I'm looking forward to it because I haven't actually seen "Nightmare" in quite some time, and I think it will be really cool in 3D. I believe this is the same system they used when we saw "Chicken Little" in 3D at the El Cap, and that was really amazing.

Here's the link to the main El Capitan site, and from there, you can go to tickets and showtimes: http://disney.go.com/disneypictures/...tan/index.html.

I wonder if it's entirely in 3D or only partly, like Superman Returns at IMAX.

The panel discussion? I still don't see it. That's what I said they didn't mention. I even went to look at the October 19 date, and it says nothing about having a panel discussion, though they seem to have added a 12:15am show...

From what I've read, it's entirely in 3D.
Selick and Burton are both involved in the process of scanning the film for 3D exhibition, and both are said to be quite happy about it.

On a side note, Henry Selick is currently directing a stop motion feature, Coraline, that's being filmed with a stereoscopic digital rig for 3D exhibition.
