Collectible treasure??

Okay, I've been offered many strang things in my day when it comes to Valentino. But today, I think that this one takes the cake. Should I even ask them how much they want for this treasure? Should I ask for photos?

I have been doing research on Valentino recently and came across your site. As a true fan I thought that you may be able to help me. My husband rescued the original Italian toilet from Valentino's home many years ago. He saw the matching sink broken by careless workers and covered the toilet in a blanket so that it would not be damaged. After many days he asked what was going to be done with it and he was told to take it if he wanted it. It is truly a work of art and could be installed and used, but I want someone who would appreciate it's history to own it. It is in perfect condition and if you know any collectors that would like to buy the piece please let me know. I have photos that could be e-mailed.

The difficulty is going to be in proving provenance. If you are interested in the collector's market (whether for yourself or others) I'd go ahead and ask for photos.

Proving it is probably going to be difficult though.
