Jasper Fforde?

Is anybody here familiar with the writing of Jasper Fforde?

I'm currently reading The Big Over Easy and despite the fact that it is outside my normal likes I am having a good time with it (it was pretty much a random selection at Borders the other day when I needed something to read).

Looking at his other works I see they are pretty much in the same style. What I'm wondering is if this continues to hold up or it becomes a joke that gets stale when carried on too long.

For those who don't know, both of his series apparently involve worlds where reality and fiction overlap. Kind of like the mix of human and toon worlds in Roger Rabbit.
