Where do I find a USMC tunic?

Ok, so I have been geting into the indie scene lately and have decided that I would really like a marine tunic to look styling. The only problem is I don't know where to start to find one, they have some on ebay but most are in the UK of all places! And the ones they do have on there would not fit a 7 year old girl! My size is about a 42R, most are a 36S! Plus I have had problems with swanky treads from ebay so I don't want to go in that direction if I don't have too. So does anybody know any cool trift stores in the L.A. area that would sell swanky militay duds? Here is a pic of what I am looking for...usmc tunic

Do a basic Google search for "Marine Corps Tunic." You'll find a whole host of places like this one.

Yeah, the indie rock military look is pretty swanky if you can pull it off.

Check out this cool snap of The (late great?) Libertines:

Sorry dude.

I think it's totally disrespectful to wear a military uniform that takes a lot of hard work and training as a fashion item. And that goes for any branch.

And yes, I am fully expecting bad mojo for this post.

Hey now, if I want to wear my navy jumper out in town as a fashion item, I will dammit, I paid a lot for that article of clothing.

Go right ahead. You earned the right to wear it if you really want too.

Thank you BarTopDancer for your opinion. I can see how someone not in the military wearing a uniform can be offensive. I actully tried to get into the USMC after 911, but could not get in since I have epilepsy. One of the reasons I went for the the Marines over the other branches of service was becase I loved the uniform (and Full Metal Jacket!), but I will never get the chance to wear it as a uniform but only as fashion. I mean no disrespect for the Marines in wearing wanting to wear it, but I am not going to be told I can't if I can find one just because I can't be a Marine.

But for the OP, the best source I ever found for navy/marine uniforms was here. Only caveat is you have to have a login to buy from them, and they are a pretty exclusive retailer. I am sure you can find someone in the San Diego/LA area that is able to login there though, and may even be willing to buy one for you.

One last serious suggestion is check out all the Army/Navy surplus stores in the area, they sometimes buy uniforms off prior military persons. or maybe take a trip to the SD area thrift stores or army navy surplus stores(there's a lot more military down here, and a ton of marines).
