I can't be there, I will be on a plane. That said, any swankers wanting to see an awesome silent film in a great venue, here's your chance!

I met William Wellman Jr. at the SF Silent Film Festival, he was lovely and looks so very much like his father, it's uncanny. I can recommend his book, but it is not a cheap volume to purchase.

I find the headline kind of funny, since Richard Arlen and Buddy Rogers were the stars of the film, along with Clara Bow. Cooper at this time was not a star, but you can see him pretty much being born in his one scene in this film. He steals the scene right from under Rogers and Arlen. Then again, Arlen and Rogers are little remembered today. Clara Bow, as always, is a delight. Oh, and the aerial footage is pretty awesome.

Arlen, Charles "Buddy" Rogers) rival for the love of the same woman.
Meanwhile, "It Girl" Clara Bow waits patiently for the man she loves.
