Bookmarks are gone!

They were on my pc when I left for work this morning. My roomie was on my PC during the day. I flipped on the pc and opened firefox and no bookmarks!

Anyone have an idea how to retrieve them? Or are they lost forever?

Look here
C:\Documents and Settings\<useraccount> \Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\default.gsl\bookmark s.html

replace <useraccount> with the account name you use to log into Windows.

Okay, thanks OC, I found the backup, I tried renaming it and it's still not showing up. any ideas? Sorry, I'm a moron

Sometimes when Firefox does an update that happens to me. It's a PITA, but I just rebuild them and move on.......

My roomie has a much newer and nicer laptop than my old pc, why she uses it when I'm at work is beyond me!

Password protect it and she won't be able to use it anymore.

Another solution to the losing-bookmarks thing... I've stopped using bookmarks and only use del.icio.us, which means I can access my tagged sites from any computer!
