The LoT Video Jukebox

One of the real cool things about Youtube right now is the phenomenon of people posting videos that use Youtube as a jukebox. Yes there are always people posting standard music videos from now and from back in the day but if you search for a song you have a good chance of either finding a video of a live performance, music video, or just a video with the song. Many people are now taking their record collections and sharing them on sites like this and while the song is playing all you see is the record spinning on the turntable.

So all you swanky LoT'ers I invite you to do a search, put a nickle in the jukebox and share your finds with the commune.

First up, since I have Motown on my mind here is a song on the subsidiary, Gordy, by Lee and the Leopards - Come Into My Palace from 1962.

From 1958 on the Flash label is one of my favorites. The bass line is so catchy that I sing it in the shower often. These are The Poets and The Vowels of Love.

This is a real music video in the true sense of the word from a very special musical moment in time. The year is 1985 in London England during a televised concert, featuring Rockabilly legend Carl Perkins. Check out this medley played by Rock N' Roll superstars - Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, George Harrison, Dave Edmunds, Lee Rocker, and Roseanne Cash.
