I've had kangaroo - yeah, I'd put it somewhere between lamb and venison

I had a kangaroo steak when I was in Sydney. I'd agree with the venison comparisons, but it really had a taste of its own.

I actually liked it.

Damn - we had a good exotic meat store here and apparently they moved to San Antonio.

Mmmm meat.

I've had pretty much all of those mentioned above, save squirrel. Horse was pretty good. Had it during my short stint living abroad in Switzerland. My friend was a vegetarian but I got him to try it to. First meat he had in like 10 years or so. I guess I have a track record of fixing vegetarians.

Hmm, I should make a list of meats I've tasted. I've not tried Roo that I'm aware of.

(Scratched out those I haven't had)

I'll add snails to my list. Though, I'm thinking CJ intended that under "nearly every sea creature."

I've had all the "regular" stuff, too. Like fishes n' beefs n' fowls n' stuff. I'm trying to think... I've had cow tongue.

Also, I've seen Jen eat wabbit... But I love how everyone apologizes about eating BunnyBuns.

I'm sure there's other stuff I've had and just can't remember. I'm a product of spending my youth in the backwoods of Michigan as well as my summers in California with my family with exotic tastes.

Ok, I'm a wimp.

I only eat the following meats: turkey, beef, chicken, pork, shrimp

And none of that includes veal or organ meats either. (Unless that ends up in sausage, but I really try not to think about it.)

I've tried lamb and lobster tail, but didn't like those.

And, my shrimp must be peeled, well cleaned and de-veined. They can still have tails, but I get very ill seeing the sight of legs and such. And, they need to be fully cooked - I can't physically handle seeing them raw.

I'll occasionally eat tuna salad, however, as long as it's albacore and well-seasoned.

I think my disdain for shellfish stems from my intense phobia of insects.

And, I refuse to try other meats, because I find the animals to be cute, especially ducks, deer and bunnies.

Currently I only eat beef, chicken, pork and turkey. Unlike DP I love seafood. Shellfish - anyone want lessons on how to eat an Atlantic lobster? Sushi, you name it, I'll probably eat it.

I've also had organ meats (chicken liver, beef liver, tongue, and others). I no longer care for them. But they were good.

I'd be open to trying other meats though.

I'd be the first voted off, but not so much for the food thing, but more like annoying my tribemates by building elaborate sand castles instead of working around camp.

Wow, my food experiences seem positively tame by comparison.

I've had an ostrich burger, that was really good and very tender
Had gator, like really REALLY rubbery chicken
Had wild board, thank you Bellagio Buffet (ack! stupid typo, but funny so I'm leaving it in to amuse my friends)
Had rabbit and lamb, neither of which I consider all that oddball
I think I've had venison once, really gamey if I recall

In the sea creature category, I've of course had lobster, shrimp, and crab (see my LJ for my recent crab experience - on second thought, don't),
But I have also had crawfish (the peel-and-eat experience, not hidden in etouffee, but no I still haven't had the cajones to suck the heads)
I was also tricked into eating jellyfish once - NAS-TY!
And calamari, which is awesome
