Alas, the problem with that is the fact once you walk out those wonderful Disneyland gates that have been open for 50 years.. Good luck getting back in...

So, let's say the hit capacity at around 11 AM, folks still show up and get in line with their AP's and ParkHoppers (Disney would have cut off sales by then, or like they did during the Christmas holidays, sell you a DCA ticket, and then allow you into Disneyland later in the day, after some folks have left DL).

You leave at 2 PM to grab a drink in DtD, then head to the hotel, crash for a couple of hours, then head back to the Main Entry Plaza.... Now there is a LONG line of folks still waiting to get in for the first time (and those DCA folks who now can enter DL), and you are behind all those folks, waiting for guests to leave DL, since basically the way it will work, 500 folks leave the park, 500 folks in line will be allowed in...)

July 17th is NOT a day for bars and hotel rooms

But it is THE day to celebrate DL's 50th
(and not any of the other parks!
