So far, I'm subscribing to iSm's vision, which I interpret as 'don't expect too much, be happily surprised if things exceed expectations, and just have fun and enjoy the Fellowship of the Swank'.

I also plan on crashing his suite- never seen a suite at the DLH! Tres swanky!

There is no way they will require a special ticket to enter the park during normal operating hours on July 17th.

Remember that they have already sold thousands of Vacation Packages to guests for that weekend, and of course, all the AP holders. They announced back in May of 2004 that the park was going to be closed, to make sure and give people notice prior to purchasing an AP that would be valid in May 2005.

And my "suite," if that's what you'd like to call it, is pretty darn big. (just ask Zapp.)

Not to go totally pessemistic but...

I'm starting to wonder if it is possible to go at all that day, if you don't have a room (which, by the time we are in a position to commit to the expense, will probably be all sold out anyway). I'm thinking mostly about the ability to park. I think it is a pretty sure bet that there will be an extremely large crowd and I'm assuming the potential also exists for the park to have to close for capacity reasons, as some have said. I wonder how fast the Mickey and friends structure could fill up and how backed up the line might be.

Regardless, we are going to do everything in our power to be there very early. It's just going to be awfully disappointing if we get there and can't get in or find a place to park. I'm starting to worry.

Everybody chill. While none of these were on a weekend day, I would like to remind everyone that the 25th, 30th, 35th, 40th, and 45th birthdays were not sold out.

July 17 is not going to be publicized by Disneyland. People will have to pick it up from the newspapers or TV. Disneyland does not want people to think its birthday is only one day; they want people to think that the birthday is every day for a year-and-a-half.

July 4 does not sell out. New Years Eve does not sell out. When they lie about the Electrical Parade glowing away forever, that sells out. But, believe it or not, with the general public - Disneyland's Birthday is not in that league.
