The one thing I do think My Space is useful for is tracking bands/music you like. Often tour schedules, or one off appearances are announced here - also with the attached music files, it's a good way to sample some music in advance of some event like Coachella.
I suppose Lashbear used another nice feature I never use - the shared calendar. I still prefer blogging on Live Journal though
