Just read Alex's review on MousePlanet, thanks Alex for a fair and balanced review. A lot to think about to be sure. I'll be strolling to the AMC multiplex to give Disney my dollars, gotta do something Disney this weekend to be sure!

Yeah, its one where it didn't really work for me but I understand why others will like it (Chuck Oberleitner and Sue Kruse liked it; it is getting a mid-60s on Rotten Tomatoes).

Oberleitner says it is the best from WDFA since The Lion King. I'd say that's true only if you ignore Lilo & Stitch (much better story) and The Emperor's New Groove (much better comedy).

I don't think many would hate it, at worst you'll be left somewhat flat like I was.

Well, I'm still looking forward to it. Of course, I realize this is partially based on the design aspects I saw in the trailer. Feeling flat at the end is okay, after all, my roomie watched last night via Netflix a film I thought to be as exciting and moving as watching paint dry and the upshot was it was supposed to be an uplifting new agey kind of thing. I was barely alive at the end of it. I think no matter what, MtR will be a genuine step way UP on the cinematic ladder.

The OC Register gave it a "B" And said this:

Quote:
The G-rated "Robinsons" feels like a cross between "Back to the Future" and "You Can't Take It With You" with a dash of "Jimmy Neutron" thrown in.

For the most part, it's weird enough to work. And with its beautifully realized, digital 3-D presentation, "Robinsons" is a movie that ought to be seen in theaters. That you get to keep the glasses is an added enticement.
