I don't think many would hate it, at worst you'll be left somewhat flat like I was.
Well, I'm still looking forward to it. Of course, I realize this is partially based on the design aspects I saw in the trailer. Feeling flat at the end is okay, after all, my roomie watched last night via Netflix a film I thought to be as exciting and moving as watching paint dry and the upshot was it was supposed to be an uplifting new agey kind of thing. I was barely alive at the end of it. I think no matter what, MtR will be a genuine step way UP on the cinematic ladder.

I know nothing about this movie.

I just found out it was in 3D.

My head hurts just thinking about it.

It's available in 3D in capable theaters but most screens will be showing it 2D.

The OC Register gave it a "B" And said this:

Quote:
The G-rated "Robinsons" feels like a cross between "Back to the Future" and "You Can't Take It With You" with a dash of "Jimmy Neutron" thrown in.

For the most part, it's weird enough to work. And with its beautifully realized, digital 3-D presentation, "Robinsons" is a movie that ought to be seen in theaters. That you get to keep the glasses is an added enticement.

I think that Nickolas and I will be better off buying Happy Feet and staying home tomorrow than braving the crowded theaters.

Kid's movies are seriously lacking this year, so when a kid friendly movie does come out it is a mob scene. I hate seeing a movie with a theater full of noisy kids and their equally noisey parents.

I actually had a really good time at the movie. Decent story, good visuals, zany antics. Go in a serious mood and expect to be disappointed. Go in to check out a movie, and you'll probably come out pleased, as I did.

(Granted, not my favorite movie of all time, but it was fun.)

I saw The Last Mimsy last week, and it was the must disruptive movie I have sat through. Kids behind us being noisy and hitting the backs of our chairs, we moved three times, and the adult couple in our row left together every 30 minutes and came back together after being gone about 10-15 minutes. I think it may have been drug related or something.....

Ok, I saw the movie today. In 3D at TdT.

First off, the 5:40 show was sold out, had to wait till the 8:10. So we went to Buuuur-Bank for an I-Scream Sunday.

Then when we got to the theater, the line was up and down the hallway. We stood there for about 45 minutes. Then they let us in, and the sound was real low while they were playing some wierd cartoon. Then the trailers started but it was a split screen of half yellow, half color. We watched 4 trailers, then they stoped it and announced that they needed to re-boot, and hope it worked, otherwise they'd give us passes to another movie.

So we sat and waited about 20-30 min, with some guy in the front row wearing a Incredibles jersey with a flashlight (or cell phone) doing hand puppets on the screen. Very intertaining.

Then they finally got it working, and we had to watch the same four trailers again. And the sign comes up to put on our 3D glasses. And it goes to the movie network broadcast thingy. Bu this time we think it's over, there going to shut it down. About 5 minutes later, it starts up again. Yay! we get to watch the same four trailers again! But this time, the movie comes on!

I loved the movie! Perhaps I didn't go in with too high an expectation, but I was very pleased. And the quote at the end was priceless.

And on our way out, Gary the manager still gave us the passes. That was cool of him. Thanks Gary! Our movie ended up going into about 15 minutes into when the next one was going to start, I don't know if it got cancelled, or started late.
