No argument there, which is why I'm very curious for confirmation on whether that is what he (McCain) said or if it is a quote of what the person talking about it said. Radar isn't the most journalistically strict organization in the world and Wait Wait presented it confusingly; something like "One source who was there said McCain was angry about having to wear, and I quote 'gay sweater'"

Either way, the sudden massive implosion of the McCain campaign has been startling to see. I'm not too upset (I didn't like him the first time around when everbody was swooning), but still startling.

Indeed - especially when as an injured war vet he could have easily just called it "lame" without offense.

If he's taking orders from subordinates to wear gay sweaters, then he's not the strong leader this country needs.
