Todays article says, and I quote...

Last month, when anonymous sources insisted the show was on its way to Denver, Comic-Con's Glanzer denied the rumors. In fact, he noted, the contract between Comic-Con and the San Diego Convention Center had been extended through 2012.

And yes... at least myself and two others from my department are at work today.
We spent our lunch sleeping.

And might I add.... stolen tidbits from other articles....
volunteer.... why? when you want to know who runs this show, it is volunteers.......

In recent years, though, when the IRS has looked at a charity, it has been most concerned about a handful of other issues, including excessive compensation for executives, he said.

That does not appear to be a problem for Comic-Con. It has two full-time executives, each paid less than $70,000 annually, according to the 2004-05 tax return. There are also 13 part-time board officers and directors. Six of the officers receive compensation ranging from $4,320 per year to $18,000.

Add in maybe a dozen paid year round clerical staff, thats it folks.

katiesue~ I think I have to agree with the claustrophobic part, and with the fact that the venue needs to expand.

Capt Jack~that's okay. I am sure you had a lot to look at.

It actually felt lighter this year, or maybe just better spread out over the 4.2 days. I went to work but am exhausted. Next year we're going all out and getting a booth. Not having a place to sit made this year harder than we expected!
