On the other hand, one way to use them (If you don't want to waste them) is to use them in something like a cake, pancakes, or other baked good where you can't tell they are there. But, as mentioned before, if they are not fertile, they're not really her chicks. Eating them isn't much different than using her droppings in the garden to grow veggies. Besides, you feed her and give her a home. Everyone should pull their weight and help out. That could be her contibution.

Besides, you'll know her eggs come from a healthy chicken, unlike what you buy.

				            | The thing with the eggs falls along the lines of me refusing to drink fresh milk. We would get milk directly from the dairy, or when my mom was milking a neighbors cow, and I would not touch it. I told her I would save the eggs for her. She told me that I wasn't much of a farmer if I refused to eat the eggs and what was I doing having a chicken. I told her Chicken is a pet and she was NOT my idea. |

But if it causes problems for you, then you should pass on them.

				            | It doesn't sound like an ethical issue. It sounds like it's just a little too earthy for comfort.

				            | I've often wondered if I could raise an animal and then butcher and eat it. Not sure I could. I raise fruits and veggies and eat them. Milk and eggs I think I could do, but the meat may be going too far for me. To each his own, though. Do what you are comfortable with.

				            | Well, you see, the earth rotates on an axis. It takes 24 hours for the earth to complete each rotation. As it does this, most spots on the earth's surface (depending on the time of year) pass through areas exposed to and hidden from the sun. This is how we denote the passage of each 24-hour period. When 3 dark periods and 2 sunny periods follow leaving work on Friday night, the following sunny period is what we call Monday morning, which happens to coincide with the time you are expected to return to your place of employment. Aren't you glad you asked?
