I enjoyed Hook's Point, but I was more impressed with Steak House 55. We did both during the same trip. For the overall value I would recommend SH55 over HP.

I am also thinking part of the enjoyment of SH55 was the company.

I may have to try Steak House 55 as I've heard good reviews of it as well. Thanks for the comments. I think we may have hit Hook's on a bad night or something.

GusGus and I enjoy Hook's Pointe. It is our go-to spot when everything else has a 3 hour wait.

I have yet to hit SH55. Must do it sometime soon.

I've liked Hook's Pointe. Funny that that place still seems "new" to me, when it's been there 10 years.

BD: Napa ran me about $80/pp and that's with nobody ordering alcohol. But for your trip, you can spend a lot less getting pommes frites at Cafe Orleans and be just as pleased. (pommes frites just means french fries, but CO serves them up as seasoned garlic fries with dipping sauce - amazing!)

I beg to differ. I promise you that no fancy French fry will come close the steak I had at NR. Also, dining is not just about the food - the experience weighs in just as much for me.

And if it is value one is looking for, nowhere on the property is a good value (in strictly economic terms). You want cheap food, ya gotta leave the property.

Thank you for the tip. I will definitely keep that in mind...they sound scrumptious...better than regular french fries!

Oh BD...they are SOOOOO good! And at Cafe Orleans so much more affordable. Not to mention...you can get a monte cristo too! (My favorite!)
