The producer was very emphatic to warn me to keep the music away from any of the announcements. For example, when I was announcing the first dance, I had to give my usual spiel ("For their first dance together as husband and wife..."), wait two or three seconds, and THEN start the song (I normally have started the song during the intro). Same coming out of songs into announcements - pregnant pause. Very annoying, but it was workable.

The reason was they couldn't/didn't want to pay for the rights to the songs being played.

They were a very cute older couple. He was in his fifties and had never been married; she was about the same age and was a widow. He was very shy and was very cute because of it. She was more outgoing - they were a great couple. (The wedding and reception were on the Queen Mary.)
A Blurry-T (tm) would be just the thing for a hot happening DJ to wear to his next gig. You know something to show them that DJ Gramps can still chill with todays crowd.
