When I arrived home, I noticed several tins of Thinking Putty had fallen off a shelf and were strewn across my living room floor. I also noticed some of my Wally memorabilia had fallen over inside their glass-enclosed display, but fortunately nothing was broken.

JW, did a couple ladies in your office have their merkins fall off during the shaking?

Wow. (looking at the pictures). though in one of them I you hadn't told me there was an Earthquake...I would have said it looked like one Heck of a party was just thrown.

All depends upon the ground that the area sits on. If one is on bedrock, not too much damage. If you are on landfill or a former marsh, you will see lots of damage.

For example, in the 1989 Loma Prieta quake, the Marina District incurred such severe damage because the land was pretty loose, being a lot of landfill on/near very wet areas.

Yes, the USGS has narrowed it down to there being "major quake" (6+ I think) somewhere in California sometime in the next 30 years

There is CONSTANTLY activity on the San Andreas. Its when it STOPS having activity, that's when one should worry.

Those are coffee grounds from two coffe pots that fell during the quake.
