Hmm... looking at the regional quake map, there seems to be quite a lot of (minor) activity all up and down the San Andreas in the last week.

... just sayin'.

As freaked out as I was, earthquakes also fascinate me. It's an awe-inspiring and humbling moment, realizing that we are powerless when it comes to the forces of nature. No matter how advanced our technology, nothing can compare to her power. We'll never stop the earth from shaking, the wind from blowing, the rain from pouring, etc., etc. At any given moment, we can be wiped off the face of the planet at her will.
