Satchmo

I was born in the wrong era. I feel a kinship to Satchmo and many of the other Jazz musicians of that era.

My Dad was a Jazz musician and loved Satchmo. I remember seeing him play at Disneyland when I was about 5 or 6. It's a very distinct memory and one of the few that have stuck with me for these many years.

Of course, I love seeing him on film in the musical version of "The Philadelphia Story" - High Society.
