We have a flock that hangs out in Garden Grove on occasion. They use to love to visit my Loquat tree when it had fruit. I hate how loud they are, worse than crows. But fun to watch. I've seen them in the area of Brookhurst and Chapman (where I live) and Garden Grove Blvd. & Harbor the most.
I had the Loquat tree removed (for other reasons) so they don't hang around my house any more, but I see them fly over and hang in the tall trees accross the street. I don't know if this is the signal hill flock or not, it's not so far as to be impossible.

There are wild parrots that migrate around LA. When I worked near downtown we'd have them around for a while and then they would move on to another neighborhood. One day I noticed a tree that was especially green and leafy for the trees in the area. Then I realized it wasn't leaves, it was bright green parrots.
The apartment building next to our parking lot was USC student housing. So it was amusing when the parrots were in residence because no one could sleep past dawn with all that racket.
