Ok, that's fine. Was thrown off by the "then" in your post which implied that otherwise your view would be different.

I've never understood society's desire to help only those people they see on the news. (Whether women who whelp litters while the foster mom taking in 8 kids gets no extra help or a specific dog that survives a fire while dozens more go unwanted at the same shelter or providing food to the homeless on one single day a year.)

I don't care if she's purple! If you can't afford the children you bring into this world then I guess you shouldn't have had them. It's not like this was a surprise to her. She obviously delibrately intended on having this many children.

I feel for the grandfather who is going back to work just to support her children.
