If the Sci Fi Channel really wants to improve its image, it should stop running those extremely cheap, "monster of the week" Sci Fi Original Movies.

And professional bullsh¡tters like Ghost Hunters, Destination "Truth", "Unexplained", and scumbag charlatans like John "The Biggest Douche in the Universe" Edward. And Japanimation whose subject matter is not related to science fiction. Color me crazy, but if you're going to form a network called Sci-Fi (ridiculous spelling permutations aside), then you should be airing science or speculative fiction programming. Does Lifetime show demolition derbies? Does BET show Yan Can Cook? It just kills me when I see the network that gave us terrific shows like Farscape, the Stargates, and Battlestar Galactica spewing out the aforementioned schlock and/or flim-flam showcases. You are capable of giving us truly outstanding programming. Why must you soil yourself with all this other crap. |

However, NBCUniversal was contractually obligated to carry it even after they didn't want to any more and Sci-Fi was the dumping ground that best fit the minimal effort needed. Kind of like why ABC Family kept showing The 700 Club. ABC didn't want it, but they were stuck with it. |
