Paris!

But at age 9, I did the great american road trip - always a classic adventure, you could even do Disney Park to Disney Park followed up with a cruise if you want to keep a Disney theme.

I concur with the Alaska suggestion especially if you can swing a cruise.

Disney, museums out the ying yang, delicious art, the opportunity to dabble in a foreign language without absolutely losing the ability to communicate
