I've got the papes that say that, along my father's bloodline, I'm decended from Governor Bradford (who arrived upon the Mayflower.) I don't have the cash to test my DNA, though.
On the other side of my gene pool, I'm sure that the DNA testing would come across as such: 11% baker from Bavaria 14% German milkmaid 9% weaver from Slovakia 15% peasant Czech farmer 1% pirate, origin unknown Well, I grew up being told by my parents that this is so, anyway. |

HI!

Quote:
I am a direct decendent for William Brewster, the minister on the Mayflower. Otherwise, besides the English, my surname name comes from Daniel McCoe who came to America from Scotland on the prision ship, William and Mary. No idea if he was crew or prisioner. I also have bloodines traced to the Spencer clan (as in Princess Diana) with relatives who served in the courts of Henry I and Henry V. The name was originally LeDeSpencer, and was French/Norman. That's my Father's side. My Mother's side has not been thoroughly traced, but has been in America for many, many years immigrating primarialy from England, Scotland and Ireland. In reality, I'm a VERY American Brit Mutt. I'm pretty happy with the English/Scottish fantasy but could lose the American History. Snooze. |
