heh, yes - ah that was a good year for SNL - I had a similar experience with the Talking Heads and recall tuning in a couple times expecting to see the Sex Pistols while they were on their US evasion and break-up tour.

I also must confess that I spent the night outside the Santa Monica Civic to get tickets to a Devo Concert (where the Flower Pot hat's debuted). They put on a great show back then.
