One thing I do note is the lovely scalloped shape of the shell - the Canneloni tubes we get here are straight-sided. Maybe that's the difference.

Canneloni/manicotti- I thought one had meat and the otehr had only cheese (or a mixture).
Cannoli are the dessert ones. Maybe?

No, the names refer to the pasta/wrapping, not the filling. "Cannelloni" is Italian for "large reeds", "manicotti" means "sleeves". So both refer to a tube-shaped wrapping of some sort. Whether they are simply different words for the same thing or actually distinct items appears to be a matter of speculation. And if they are different things, exactly what each is is also not very well defined. Possibly because the term "manicotti" is of American origin rather than Italian so it doesn't have the same historical linguistic accuracy of tradition. as most pasta names.

Braised Brisket with Burbon-Peach glaze. It's really easy and really good. Just takes a lot of time. Plus I get to use my LeCruset

That sounds delicious! In the reviews someone smoked it, that sounds like something we would try.
Tonight we had radiator with Alfredo, chicken strips, sourdough garlic bread and papaya, not bad for a quickly thrown together dinner after Robotics. |
