It's no wonder the Dodgers do so poorly in interleague play. They lose the pitcher's hitting spot!
Ryu, Greinke, and Kershaw are hitting a combined .243. Add Nolaso's 3/3 and it's up to .264.

Not expecting too much tonight after that 14 inning marathon yesterday. Tired bullpen, Capuano on the mound - might go 7, might go 2. Tulo and Fowler back in the Rockies lineup. Dodgers have their work cut out for them tonight.
Then again, it's not like this team hasn't continuously surprised me over the past few weeks. |

I find it a bit weird and annoying that MLB isn't saying how many votes Puig got.
The only information I can find gives this information * 79.2 million votes cast total * 19.7 million votes for Freeman * Puig was a close second and got more than 15.6 million votes (the previous high for a single player) But they don't say exactly how many he got. Was he 100,000 short? 4 million short?

He was 1 Bud Selig vote short! It was rigged. They employed the same rigging company that the NBA uses for its draft lottery.
Wait, the National League exists? I thought the Astros had created a fictional backstory for themselves, telling a story of when they lived in a fantasyland. |

Is the favorite past time of ALL Giants fans to bash the Dodgers? Every time I try to have any kind of baseball conversation with a coworker, it instantly turns into a Dodger bashing fest (he's a Giants fan, but not the first that I have encountered this phenomenon with).

The Dodgers are a great historic franchise, and there are really only three things about them that merit criticism: 1) the fans, 2) the ownership, and 3) the team itself.
The Fans: They've never shaken or attempted to shake the "come late/leave early/baseball is just another form of disposable family entertainment" rep, except, of course, to cultivate a counterbalancing thuggishness. The Ownership Dey took da team oudda Brooklyn. More recently, they seem bent on giving the George Steinbrenner era a run for its money. The Team Hard to tell from a distance, and it is the nature of the era, but is there anyone other than Kershaw that you look at and think "I can't imagine him in another uniform."

Trying to guess which of those three points you think the Giants beat the Dodgers at?
But it may be an imagination issue on the last one becuase I have no problem imagining anybody playing for any other team. I can imagine Jeter playing in Houston. And if people are going to still be butthurt over the abandonment of Brooklyn, then A's and Giants fans have hardly found save haven. That said, I've never had a conversation with a Giants fan that resulted in Dodgers bashing. They always seem to get to asking why all A's fans do is bash the Giants. All A's fans do is not go to games in Oakland while bitching about not wanting to have to drive to San Jose if they move. |
