				            | I donated my last few to battered womens shelters.  I feel kind of bad about that as not one of them was worth the energy it'd take to toss it off a pier.

				            | Thanks for the note BTD. FWIW: a phone that is not currently enabled on a service provider can still be used to make 911 calls (assuming the phone is in working order). I am not sure how far back this would work (how old of a phone this applies on), but it is worth knowing.
