FOUND: Drive-In Theatre

A friend once had an idea (though I am not sure if it was an original): a DIVE-in theatre

At the time, he was decidedly single and lived in a very singles apartment complex in Studio City. He knew it would be a wildly popular idea to set up a large projector and screen along with a 5.1 sound system aound the community pool. The idea being that we could watch the movie from the comfort of the pool.

Alas, we never pulled it off, but it was a good dream!

One of the local water parks, White Water does that several times during the summer. The keep the park open later than usual and show a family-friendly movie. I also think this is something that they do on cruise ships.

Thank you for sharing! I have always wanted to go to a Drive In but there is not one too close to me. There is one closer to Atlanta and I would definitely go there if I had a car...but I cannot see well enough to have a car, let alone drive one.
