That's how I feel too.

I do wonder if he had a concussion from the stuff that hit him.

I'm sure he was a lovely man, and from what I understand, in real life he sounded nothing like the pitchman for the infomercials. Nothing ever made me hit the mute faster than the voice that was silenced today. I feel for his family, but I also feel a sense of relief.

I'm sure the autopsy will check for head trauma as well as DVT, which can be caused by microscopic seat-pitch on commercial airlines. I can't help but wonder why he was flying commercial anyway, since (according to a recent "Pitchmen" episode) he and Sullivan had just bought a private jet.

Same here. I watched the first episode because when I saw the preview spot I was amazed that anyone would do a show about these guys, but was almost immediately hooked. Mays and Sullivan actually seem to be good guys who do their job well and believe in the products they sell. Whether or not I would actually buy anything they pitch, I respect it.

I guess God needed a pitchman. You can count me in as a closet pitchmen watcher.

I see many possible reasons: This was a personal trip, the "jet" is just puffery for show and not really used regularly, Sully was using it, etc....

I semi enjoyed the couple episodes I saw but I pretty much treated it like an infomercial for infomercials. As such I just kind of assume that the "personal" stuff shown is just as likely to be a performance as not.

True, and a lot of the "fights" were obviously staged. Even so, his son was working side by side with them on nearly every product shoot. There was an episode where they visited Billy Mays' father and showed one of his (kinda wacky) product ideas. The crappy show wasn't able to hide the fact that this family is pretty closely knit, and that they all worked together.
