Now now, Moonliner, just because she filmed a LoTer in the shower at some point during a 26-hour New Years party, you automatically assume it's an adult film?...or was it just the natural and logical assumption that since LoTers were involved that pornography was filmed?

Well, I certainly have seen enough T&A to last me a lifetime now. ;)
I'm now at a roadblock. I've got the rough cut laid down, and am freaking out over whether or not to add voiceover, or just keep the few captions on the screen... and, then I'm still trying to tweak the captions to say exactly what I'm trying to convey. OY!!!
And, for those of you who missed what I'm making here, it's about mixed fluids making a shower more enjoyable. For more info about this project, click here (http://www.dovecreamoil.com). (SFW) ;)
Well I certainly agree that mixing fluids can make a shower more enjoyable.

Oh, and I vote for voice over's rather than more captions. TV is a multimedia. GL!

Yeah, they're talking about it starting to rain here tonight and this weekend is supposed to be wet. You'd think snow, right? But oh wait... it's warming up into the high 30s and 40s... and the ground is way colder than that... so you know what happens when water meets cold, right? I'd rather have snow. We may go into the mountains, but I'm guarding myself against other drivers this weekend.
ETA: They said it was supposed to rain earlier in the day today, but I have a feeling it's being delayed a bit. They're really talking about it coming down here.
Note to Self: Watch LoT for better estimate on when the weather will hit here.

To be fair, it did make a weak attempt at beginning to rain last night as I returned home from Flashback rehearsals. After about 10 drops it decided to call it a night. We'll see if the rain manages to rouse itself from its hangover some time this afternoon to become an actual, functioning storm.

I have embarrassing memories of the phone company.
I was once on the phone with an out-of-state boyfriend, and totally forgot that I was having a second line installed (that only required them to work on it outside).
Well, the conversation was um, rather steamy, and after we hung up, the phone guy knocked on the door. I asked if he was there to service the line, and he said he just did, and that he had checked both lines to make sure they were working.
The man was bright red and nearly stumbled while talking.

Bubba Ho-tep is one of my favorite movies. It's especially neat that they show it on HDNet as "Art House Favorites"- as ridiculous as the movie SOUNDS, it's really quite well made, and absolutely hilarious.
I think Bubba Ho-Tep is one of those movies that was ruined for me by extensive overhype. It was a couple years before I finally got around to seeing it, with everybody telling me I had to see it.

Boris is a mutant. We still don't know how to treat his thyroid. Looking just at his lab work, he's a very very very sick kitty, on death's door, no point in treating anything. But he's been like that for years and he's still acting totally normal. He is a mutant who apparently doesn't actually need functional kidneys. There are apparently no experts willing to speculate on what the radioactive iodine might do to his kidneys. According to his lab work, he's almost dead anyhow and the treatment would send him over the edge. According to his actual behavior, he's completely fine and a great candidate for treatment.
Damn mutant cat.

All I want to do is go to sleep. Not in the cards.
I was half asleep in my chair when I heard a skid and a bang. I stuck my head out the front door to see a car in my neighbor's front yard. It was a Honda sedan full of high teens. After doing some major damage to her yard, the front end of their own car, missing her car by 3 inches, they managed to get the car unstuck and took off, but not before cussing her out.
We are now waiting for the cops.
I hope they show up soon. With all the rain and winds I took Benedryl tonight and I am ready to snooze.

alphabassettgrrl~Oooo, I didn't scandalize a Mormon...I accidentally insulted one!! My foot was so far in my mouth....thank gawd it was online as I'd have died for real in person. I made some cracks about seeing them riding around on their bikes. Well, I had to backpeddle {it was someone I liked, didn't realize his background was Mormon} and say that it was when we were younger, it was weird to see them around here being that it was normally so hot...no one ever rides their bikes around.....But, I did learn from someone else that what those young men are doing is quite respectable and meaningful to them.
Mousey Girl~G'darn kids!!! And they cussed HER out? Are you having rain and snow or just heavy rain? I hope someone got their license plate number??? I am just glad that no one was hurt. Even those g'darn kids. I've known a few kids who've either died this past year in auto accidents, been seriously injured in a motorcycle accident, or, survived an amazing multi-rollover crash. I wish kids didn't have to go through some of that crap to grow up, you know? Just watch it in the movies, and that's enough.
And, for the final knucklehead comment of the day, from me anyways, guess who just HAD to buy the 'Cinderella' dvd to add to her collection, just had to!!! They are going to take it away!!!
The same person who had a dvd copy on her shelf at home.....
And I opened it, too. I was torturing my son, trying to wake him up telling him I bought this action movie for us to watch together....I just had to put it on.

I think I might be eeeever so slightly near-sighted, but it hasn't affected me in the least. I have no clue how I'm this lucky. I am literally the only one in my family. Everyone else has significantly impaired vision, and from young ages. Everyone. And here I am finishing my 3rd decade and never having need for a pair of glasses (save for the pair of "reading glasses" one optometrist sold me that was such a low prescription that I'm pretty sure they were just flat pieces of glass in frames that got her some $ from our insurance. Never worn them).

His name is Markus (http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=9189528). Sadly, for him, he was declawed (I have some very strong opinions against this practice, which I'll leave out, beyond this parenthetical statement). I'll assume, for the sake of assuming, that when he started having problems with his food allergy, his owners dropped him off at the animal shelter, where he's been for over a year now. Because of his needs, he's been housed at a vet's office nearby... we wanted to check him out because he was so cute, but after learning that he's been without a snuggly home for so long, we knew we had to have him. Lol! They all know my MIL lives with a heathen- they're terrified the Catholics are gonna get their mitts on her. (She'd be a much better Catholic than she is a Mormon- she spends half of her time ditching them). My sis watched the house last summer while we were on vacation and one of the kids from her church showed up early one morning. (Big mistake). Bobbi answered the door and the kid said he was there to collect fast offering money from Trudy. Bobbi said she was on vacation, but the kid still stood there with that big folksy smile on his face, which only irritated Bobbi further. He said he still needed the money, at which point Bobbi said " I'm Catholic- I'm not giving you anything!"
The next week nearly every friend of Trudy's called her or just showed up unannounced for a 'visit'.

Anybody wanna see how high an iPod Classic can FLY?!?!
v^2/(64ft/s^2)
Where v, for values less than 36,700 ft/s, is the vertical velocity of the iPod at time of release. Get it moving faster than that and we're dealing with intrasolar dynamics. Get it up to 3.2 million feet per second (at night) and you might get it out of the solar system.
So the question isn't so much how high one can fly but how fast one can fling it.
Wait...am I being overly literal again?

Was that the Parros fight?
Gotta love me some Parros. NBC even showed one of his fights on the 11pm news :D Fred Rogan: We don't normally like to show fights but this fight was so good it deserves air time.
Went to Princeton, earned a degree in Econ and is now one of the best enforcers in the league. :snap: :snap: :snap:

Ugh CP, I'm sorry to hear it! FWIW, I find Cheerios to be one of the least-offensive, most stomach-calming foods out there. Maybe you should try that? Or some oatmeal?

Sorry to hear that CP. Plain rice is also a good option when you feel like you might be able to maybe eat something. Chicken broth, too, is a good thing to drink.

Saltines and ginger ale. Feel better CP.:) I love the mothering LoT. Reading all your lovely well wishes and recommendations makes me feel like my mom brought me an extra blanket. :coffee: <--this icon is so warm and cozy!
I finally forced myself to make tea though I suspected I'd pour it down the drain. A few sips of orange spice and I was ready for a bite! Made myself a fried egg and I'm on the road to recovery. In a bit I think I'll heat up some chicken broth and dig out some crackers. Wish I had real saltines on hand!
I'm still weak but thankfully all of you are here to keep me company. (The rabbit naps all day, pretty much.)

Late to the "feel better game" - but for me, rice with a little miso soup added to it makes a great first meal. Also chicken broth can substitute for the miso. I also really like plain oatmeal. I generally don't like sugar too much, and the other way out I like even less, so I avoid that as much as possible. The oatmeal seems to settle my stomach.
In other news... time to go get kitty!!

So the thread going on about HFCS led me (eventually) to the wikipedia entry on Honey (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honey).
In the hive the bees use their "honey stomachs" to ingest and regurgitate the nectar a number of times until it is partially digested[13]. It is then stored in the honeycomb.
Somehow the idea of honey being bee vomit makes it less appealing.

Ginger tea, made with grated fresh ginger, also helps my asthma to the point where I hardly ever have to take my Advair. I add a dash of lemon juice and cayenne for taste. The "Magic Hippie Juice," as I call it, has been a bit of a wonder drug for me.
It's also good for natural male enhancement. (Not really, but that's going on the label when I start bottling the sh!t.)

So my new kitten is a barrel of laughs. Such personality! Very playful and loving. But, when he's done, he's done - he'll bat with his paw, and meow. If, after that, you still don't get it, it's time for a hiss.
He's still settling in, so some of his behavior is a bit nervous. He ate a lot, which is pretty much the opposite of what the lady working the shelter/vet's office he's been at said he'd do. He did also use his litter box, which makes me happy.
I can't wait for J to get home!
I'll start a thread with pics as soon as I can figure out where I put my camera.

Sohrshah - is your screenname a reference to Willow (http://imdb.com/title/tt0096446/)?
MADMARTIGAN: You are my sun, my moon, my starlit sky. Without you, I dwell in darkness. I love you.
SORSHA: What are you doing here?
MADMARTIGAN: Your power has enchanted me, I stand helpless against it. Come to me now. Tonight, let me worship you in my arms.
SORSHA: Get away from me!
MADMARTIGAN: I love you!
SORSHA: Stop saying that!
MADMARTIGAN: Can I stop the beating of my heart? It pounds like never before.
SORSHA: Aye, with fear.
MADMARTIGAN: Ah, with love.
SORSHA: I can stop it. I'll kill you.
MADMARTIGAN: Death next to love is a trivial thing. Your touch is worth a hundred thousand deaths. Ah, Val Kilmer's finest moment. <swoon>
